Austin FC have revealed their new primary kit for the 2025 and 2026 MLS seasons, with help from Hollywood superstar Matthew McConaughey and Austin-born world-renowned blues guitarist Gary Clark Jr.

“We’ve worked hard to create a Club that authentically represents our home, Austin, Texas,” said McConaughey, also Austin FC's Minister of Culture. “Now in our fifth season, our new kit pays homage to all of the things that make our city and Club special, and the things that make Q2 Stadium the best damn party in town.”

The new design, created by Adidas, features a striking "Real Green" base with tonal vertical stripes on the front and sleeves. Black accents on the side panels and shoulders provide a bold contrast, with horizontal woven stripes through the side panels. The club crest, displayed on the left chest, incorporates raised embroidery while the primary sponsor, YETI, is featured in black across the center. A unique touch is the anatomic illustration of a heart on the jock tag, directly referencing the kit's "Heartbeat" theme.

Austin FC ended their fourth season in MLS by finishing 10th in the Western Conference and reached the Round of 32 in the Leagues Cup. They, however, failed to cut the postseason MLS Cup on the penultimate day of the season after a 2-1 loss to eventual MLS Cup winners LA Galaxy. Things are looking up for the as they’ve already made significant off-season changes including appointing Nico Estévez as their new head coach.

That has, however, yet to light a spark under the club as they’ve managed to win just two out of their four preseason games although they remain unbeaten. The club does have two more friendlies on their calendar before they kick off their 2025 MLS season at home against Sporting KC.
