Union Berlin defeated Werder Bremen 2-1 in the Bundesliga Saturday, a tightly contested match that saw six yellow cards awarded across a 15-minute span in the first half. However, it was Union Berlin who came out on top and overcame the tough nature of the match, scoring twice in a two-minute span to claim victory on the day.
Dubbed Aaronson's 'best performance of the season,' he scored the game-winner in the 52nd minute in a stunning midfield performance for the Berlin-based club.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Aaronson has struggled to find himself while on loan in the Bundesliga, with the 23-year-old in and out of the starting XI over the first seven months in Berlin. However, February saw a turn of form hit him, with his first goal in over a year at the club level coming against Hoffenheim in a rare start for him. He earned another start the following week, but then two benchings followed, before a return to the XI on Saturday that saw him earn with his magical display.
Despite missing out on the USMNT's 23-man CONCACAF Nations League roster, he responded to Gregg Berhalter's comments of using the snub as motivation in brilliant fashion.
