Adams underwent back surgery this monthHopes to miss only three or four matches of new seasonMissed majority of last two campaignsWHAT HAPPENED?
The Cherries midfielder has dealt with multiple injury setbacks in the last two seasons having been sidelined for the majority of the 2022/23 and 2023/24 campaigns. He underwent surgery in October last year and finally returned to action in the spring of 2024 only to return to the medical table with back spasms this month.

In April, Adams suffered back problems and played through the final part of the 2023/24 campaign and Copa America 2024 with the injury. However, once the continental competition was over he again went under the knife. It was initially suspected that he would be out for some time, but the player has now confirmed that he hopes to miss no more than the first four Premier League fixtures of his club's season.
WHAT TYLER ADAMS SAID
Speaking on The Cooligans podcast, the U.S. international said: "After Copa, I was still feeling a little something. So I’m happy to have that dealt with. I’m going through a rehab process now. I won’t miss too much of the beginning part of the season. So hopefully four or five games, three or four maybe. And then hopefully I can just fly through the season and have some consistency."
He added: "I think the biggest thing for me is, throughout the rehab process, throughout the way that I play in games, it’s only 100 percent for me. Every single day in training, every single day in games. And I don’t have an ability to tune it down a notch.
"So sometimes I just need to realize I need to take a step back and just relax a little bit. I’m starting to learn that a little bit more and more. But yeah, I go 100 percent all the time. So yeah, that’s probably why I’ve been injured a little bit more recently."
