The East London side have moved to steal Todibo away from Juventus, who have been trying to seal a deal with Nice for weeks. West Ham moved late last night according to Fabrizio Romano and shook hands on a €40 million (£34m/$44m) fee for the 24-year-old.

The Hammers are keen to get Todibo booked in for a medical as soon as possible and could have the formalities wrapped up by close of business on Friday.

Stealing Todibo from under Juventus' nose would be a real coup for West Ham as they look to provide new head coach Julen Lopetegui with the tools to challenge on all fronts. The defender would join the likes of Max Kilman, Crysencio Summerville and Niclas Fullkrug in what is turning out to be a very strong window for the Hammers.

DID YOU KNOW?

Todibo is already a two-cap France international and featured 33 times in all competitions for Nice last term. He has only ever scored two goals in 136 appearances for the club but is a rock at the back. He played a big part in helping keep 15 clean sheets in the league across 2023-24.

Previous reports have suggested that Todibo only ever wanted to move to Juventus but West Ham's involvement could change things. While the Hammers have agreed a fee with Nice, they must still convince the player to make the switch to the Premier League.
